KTM Launched RC200 as per safety rules


 SAFETY RULES
                                    The new safety rules that will be implemented on 1st April 2019 makes the ABS mandatory for all the two-wheelers that are powered by a 125cc or larger engine. The same rule also mandates all the two-wheelers below 125cc to offer the combi-braking system that engages both the front and rear brakes when the rear brake lever is engaged.




KTM (Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen)India has launched the 2019 KTM RC 200 ABS priced at Rs. 1.88 lakh, ex-showroom. It is Rs. 9,000 more expensive than the non-ABS KTM RC 200, which will be no longer available in the market after 31st March 2019 due to the safety rules.

The RC 200 offers a very aggressive seating posture, similar to the big sports bikes. It is used as a stepping stone by many who want to buy bigger capacity bikes in the future or want to take up track riding professionally. The KTM RC200 gets dual projector headlamp in the front and a fully-digital LCD instrument cluster. The turn indicators and the tail lamp unit of the RC200 get LED lamps giving it a distinctive look.



The KTM RC 200 gets disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels and the exhaust is smartly tucked under the body. KTM dealerships across India have started accepting the bookings for the ABS version of the bike and the deliveries are expected to start soon. It is not known if the non-ABS version of the bike will be available in the showrooms anymore but they should be available till the stocks last as the sale of non-ABS version would be illegal from 1st April.
