KTM

 KTM 2019 RC 390

  • Upcoming RC 390 looks bulkier than before; will be BSVI-compliant
  • Could get an all-new digital instrument cluster and more top-shelf components
  • Likely to be unveiled in 2019, with the launch scheduled for 2020
Currently, the RC 390 is powered by a 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 43.5PS of power and 36Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed race-tuned gearbox. We're also expecting KTM to update the RC's underpinnings with better-spec WP suspension setup.

 KTM 390 Adventure

This new motorcycle will sport a stronger and longer suspension, dual-purpose tires and a larger fuel tank. The motorcycle should also sport an upright seating position making it more comfortable for longer distances.

The 390 Adventure will be powered by the same 373.2cc single-cylinder motor, the Duke 390 is powered with. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. ABS will be offered as standard.

Suzuki Gixxer 250 & Gixxer 250 Street Fighter

The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 & Gixxer 250 Street Fighter is gearing up for its India launch around the first half of 2019 and the new Suzuki 250cc motorcycle will be introduced as an affordable entry-level sports bike.

Suzuki Gixxer 250 & Gixxer 250 Street Fighter will derive power from a 250cc, SOHC oil-cooled motor which can churn 22-25 bhp of max power with help from a 6-speed gearbox. Expect the price to be around INR 1.5 lakhs when launched in India. Suzuki Gixxer 250 will borrow design and style from the GSX-S750 and GSX-S1000

The Gixxer's street naked styling and its mechanical package will make it a rival to the Yamaha FZ-25. Some bits from the Gixxer 150 are also expected to make its way to this bike mainly in the form of the instrument cluster. Other expected features are LED head and tail lamps. ABS will be fitted as standard, given the upcoming norms.

BMW

BMW G310SS

BMW G310SS, the full-faired G310R with dual front headlight and impressive exhaust design, was recently revealed along with the standard roadster. For those who think they have seen this one before, the moniker G310SS was earlier seen as RR at an auto show in Japan

The motorcycle is based on the BMW G310 R and thus at the heart of the concept is the 313 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-valves, DOHC, reverse inclined engine that churns out 34 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm & 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The performance numbers on the SS model are not likely to be any different from the other G310 variants.

BMW C400 GT SCOOTER

C400 GT is powered by the same 34 BHP engine but suspension comes with certain improvements for a plusher ride. The seat is now bigger than the standard version, giving more space for keeping the personal stuff, along with comfortable overall riding feel. The 400cc scooter is for developed markets where products with comfort-enhancing features are preferred over value for money substitutes.BMW has no plans of bringing scooter range to India as no other brand has ventured into this space in recent times

SWM motorcycles

SWM Gran Turismo 440

After upgrading to the Euro4 standard of the 440 single-cylinder in 2017, SWM is optimizing the Gran Turismo this year with a neo-retro that adopts a new tank, more trendy than the former, which had far-fetched angles. While it loses 6 liters of capacity, nevertheless it offers a better ergonomics, for the big templates in particular.

In addition, the new engine settings, as well as the adoption of a new electronic box, allowed to reason the consumption of this Gran Turismo to ensure it still a good autonomy, close to 400 km (500 km on the old ), thanks to its 4.2 l / 100 km recorded during the test. As for the new suspensions, rather upscale for this segment of neo-retro motorcycles of Chinese origin (but assembled in Italy), they bring more rigor and optimize the comfort

UM motorcycles

Renegade Duty 230 & Duty Ace 230

UM, Renegade Duty 230 & Duty Ace 230 can be a game changer for the Indian arm of United Motorcycles. They are struggling hard to get a four-digit sales number, which can be achieved through the launch of Duty in the country. A recent report confirms that the launch of Renegade Duty has been delayed for the Indian market, and the bike will now launch by April 2019 with ABS as a standard feature.

Renegade Duty Ace and Duty S will use a 223cc, single cylinder engine, producing 17hp of maximum power and 17Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. UM should have branded these two bikes as independent cruisers initially as the fame that Classic 350 owns is hard to break in 2019.

Renegade Vegas Sport S

UM is expanding its range for the 2019 model year, and the Renegade Vegas is one of the models that will launch here. It shares its running gear with the current range – a 280cc liquid-cooled single that generates 25bhp and 24Nm is put through a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. The differences from the rest of the Renegade range are cosmetic: a single seat is the most distinguishing feature. The paintwork follows a dark theme with a contrasting pinstripe

Renegade Scrambler X

Apart from a new 230cc motorcycle, UM will also be showcasing its new scrambler-styled motorcycle at the 2018 Auto Expo. UM wouldn’t be launching the new Scrambler X at the Auto Expo; instead, it will be just gauging the reaction of the audiences. And if the feedback is positive we might see the new UM Scrambler being launched in India by late 2018 or early 2019. We expect the new motorcycle to be priced around Rs 1.5 to Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom)
